Kommentar zum Standard, 16. August 2010
Am Montag, 16. August 2010, berichtete der Irland-Korrespondent Martin Alioth in der Wiener Tageszeitung Der Standard unter der Überschrift „Verletzte bei Anschlag in Nordirland“, sowie in einem nachstehenden Kommentar „Die Unbelehrbaren“ von den Protesten im Umfeld der sog. „marching season“, der loyalistischen Machtdemonstrationen durch irisch-nationalistische Wohngebiete in den Sommermonaten, sowie einem Anschlag in Lurgan, Co. Armagh.
Beim Anschlag, zu dem sich bis heute keine Gruppierung bekannte, wurden drei Kinder verletzt, so die Medienberichte. „Drei zufällig in der Gegend spielende Kinder wurden von Splittern verletzt. Die Sicherheitskräfte waren dabei, die Gegend nach einer Warnung zu räumen“, berichtet auch Der Standard.
Was geschah am davor gegangenen Wochenende in Lurgan? In einem Mistkübel kam es zu einer kleinen Explosion. Militante republikanische Gruppen wurden sofort beschuldigt. Eine beispiellose Medienkampagne der britischen Polizei PSNI begann, in der erklärt wurde, drei Kinder wurden verletzt, ja hätten gar sterben können. Anwohner berichteten dagegen, die Kinder würden lediglich „unter Schock“ stehen.

Unwanted sectarian march opposed |

Republican Sinn Féin congratulates the residents of Ardoyne for their steadfast opposition to the sectarian march forced through their community on Monday July 12, 2010. Upwards of 300 members of the RUC/PSNI surrounded 50-60 peaceful protestors who sat down on the main road despite repeated attempts by armed RUC personnel to forcibly remove them.
Several members of Republican Sinn Féin took part in the sit down in solidarity with the local residents. Stormont member Gerry Kelly accompanied by his entourage stayed away from the area, but later gave the impression of having tried to play some kind of mediating role. I was just another round of lies and spin.
We do not recognise the Stormont representatives who are paid to be the eyes and ears of the RUC while posing as pillars of the community. They will not stop us exercising our right to highlight the bigotry of these marches and one-sided heavy-handedness of the RUC.
Over 100 plastic bullets were fired during subsequent rioting with several people injured by the indiscriminate firing by the RUC. Water cannon were also deployed in an attempt to push the residents back before the loyalists were escorted through by their historical protectors.
RUC chief constable Matt Baggott described the nationalists' reaction to the unwanted sectarian coat trailing as "recreational rioting". Being on the receiving end of batons, plastic bullets and stinking water from the cannon, would not be anyone's idea of "recreation".
It is time for this, and all other unwanted sectarian parades, to be stopped. Republican Sinn Féin will continue to support the communities blighted by these marches. No amount of rhetoric from the RUC, the Brits or their Stormont minions can hide the fact that nationalists do not want these parades forced through their communities and the consequences that ensue from the bully boy tactics of the Crown police.

Am Morgen des 31. Mai wurden nach unterschiedlichen Angaben bis zu 19 Friedensaktivistinnen und -aktivisten von einem Spezialkommando der israelisch-zionistischen Armee ermordet. Der Angriff auf die Solidaritätsflotte und die Ermordung von unschuldigen Aktivistinnen und Aktivsten müsse von allen Gerechtigkeit unterstützenden Menschen und Ländern auf das Schärfste verurteilt werden, so Josephine Hayden, ehemalige politische Gefangene und Generalsekretärin von Republican Sinn Féin, in einer Stellungnahme vom 31. Mai.
Israelische Sonderkommandos griffen den Hilfskonvoi in internationalen Gewässern – ein Bruch von internationalem Recht und jeglicher humanitärer Prinzipien. „Keine Propaganda kann die Tatsache verdecken, dass es sich hier um kaltblütigen Mord handelt, einzig um die Bevölkerung von Gaza noch weiter zu isolieren“, so Hayden.
„Alle Gerechtigkeit unterstützenden Länder müssen ihre diplomatischen Vertretungen unverzüglich in Protest gegen dieses Kriegsverbrechen aus Israel zurückziehen. Wir rufen alle Menschen auf, ihre Ablehnung gegen dieses abscheuliche Verbrechen an unschuldigen, zivilen Helferinnen und Helfern zu zeigen, sich an den Protesten zu beteiligen und israelische Produkte zu boykottieren.“
Die Solidaritätsflotte führte 10.000 Tonnen an humanitären Hilfsgütern, darunter Medikamente, Baumaterial, Holz, 500 Rollstühle und 100 Wohnmobile mit sich. Diese gespendeten Hilfsgüter sollten dem Wiederaufbau des Gazastreifens nach der Bombardierung durch Israel im Winter 2008/09 dienen.
Eines der Schiffe startete in Dundalk und fuhr unter irischer Flagge. Die MV Rachel Corrie, welche vom Free Gaza Movement geführt wurde, führte 1.200 Tonnen an Hilfsgütern mit sich, vor allem Zement und anderes Baumaterial für den Wiederaufbau.
Josephine Hayden erklärte: „Es ist nicht das erste Mal, das Hilfskonvois von israelischen Streitkräften attackiert werden. Bereits im Juni 2009 wurden die Aktivistinnen und Aktivsten des ebenfalls vom Free Gaza Movement geleiteten Schiffs Spirit of Humanity verhaftet, entführt und deportiert, nachdem ihr Schiff gerammt wurde.“
Republican Sinn Féin ruft alle Personen auf, sich an den weltweiten Protestdemonstrationen gegen den Mörderstaat Israel zu beteiligen und israelische Produkte zu boykottieren!

Solidarity greetings to the ‘2nd Haifa Conference For The Return of Palestinian Refugees and For A Democratic Secular State in Historic Palestine’ from Republican Sinn Féin in Ireland.
The Irish and Palestinian people share a common bond as nations that have for centuries suffered under imperialist occupation and oppression. This bond continues to be as strong today as it has ever been. A hurt suffered by one people is felt by the other and a blow struck for the freedom of one people is struck for the freedom of all oppressed peoples.
Ireland today remains divided with the British occupying the north eastern part of our historic country while a corrupt puppet regime controls the remainder. People of good will should not be fooled by the Belfast Agreement that was signed in 1998. This agreement was designed to pacify Ireland and to protect imperialist interests here. It cannot succeed in bringing peace to Ireland as it does not address the cause of conflict in the first place that is the occupation of Ireland by a foreign power. Only when Ireland is free of occupation will there be a permament peace. Republican Sinn Féin's ‘Éire Nua’ (A New Ireland) document proposes a federal Ireland following a British withdrawal with maximum decentralisation of power and a secular state. ‘Éire Nua’ guarantees the rights of all citizens of the nation to live in a just and equitable society where the Irish people can control their own destinies free from foreign imperialist interference. A federal, democratic and socialist state can heal the hurts of a divided society and unite all it's people under the banner of one country whether it be Irish or Palestinian.
We send greetings and best wishes to the Palestinian prisoners of war who are incarcerated by the occupying Zionist state. The Irish Republican prisoners of war who are held in Maghaberry Jail are currently involved in a struggle for the right to be treated as prisoners of war. This right which was won by the sacrifice of 10 brave men on hunger strike in 1981 has been withdrawn by the British regime as part of their pacification deal of 1998. Irish Republican people are taking to the streets to campaign and protest on behalf of the prisoners. We draw inspiration and strength from the Palestinian people who have shown incredible fortitude and courage in the face of a more physically powerful oppressor.
Onwards to victory comrades and that certain day when our peoples can join the free nations of the world.

 Stellungnahme zum Tag für palästinensische Gefangene
Zum Tag in Unterstützung für palästinensische Gefangene sendet das Büro für Internationale Beziehungen von Republican Sinn Féin Grüße an alle palästinensischen politischen Gefangenen in israelisch-zionistischen Gefängnissen.
Der 17. April ist der internationale Tag für palästinensische Gefangene. Auf der ganzen Welt versammeln sich zu diesem Anlass Menschen, um für die Rechte der politischen Gefangenen in zionistischen Gefängnissen zu demonstrieren. Aktivistinnen und Aktivisten von Republican Sinn Féin nehmen an diesen Kundgebungen teil, um ihre Unterstützung für den Kampf des palästinensischen Volkes zu zeigen.
In einer Stellungnahme erklärte Dieter Blumenfeld, Sprecher des Büros für Internationale Beziehungen von Republican Sinn Féin: „Vor kurzem haben die palästinensischen Gefangenen einen wichtigen Kampf begonnen. Am 7. April traten mehrere palästinensische Gefangenen in den Hungerstreik für die Anerkennung ihres Rechts auf politischen Status.
„Irische Republikaner in britischen Gefängnisse und Palästinenser in israelischen Gefängnissen führen denselben Kampf. Sie widersetzen sich gegen die Kriminalisierung ihres antiimperialistischen Kampfes. Die imperialistischen Mächte versuchen irische Republikaner und Palästinenser als Kriminelle darzustellen. Das ist ein Versuch den gesamten irischen und palästinensischen Freiheitskampf als ‚terroristisch’ zu brandmarken.
„Irische Republikaner und palästinensische Gefangene sind keine Kriminellen, sie sind Freiheitskämpfer. Die imperialistischen Mächte unterstützen sich gegenseitig im Versuch politische Gefangene und den Freiheitskampf der Völker zu kriminalisieren. Irische Republikanerinnen und Republikaner müssen Schulter an Schulter mit ihren Genossinnen und Genossen in Palästina für den Sieg im antiimperialistischen und nationalen Befreiungskampf stehen,“ so Blumenfeld.

Statement on annual Palestinian Prisoners Day
The Republican Sinn Féin International Relations Bureau sends greetings to all Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli Zionist jails on the annual Day in support of Palestinian Prisoners.
April 17th is marked as Palestinians Prisoners Day. All over the world people will rally for the rights of the political prisoners in Zionist jails. Activists and supporters of Republican Sinn Féin will take part in these rallies to show their support with the struggle of the Palestinian people.
In a statement Dieter Blumenfeld, spokesperson of the Republican Sinn Féin International Relations Bureau, said: “In 2010 Palestinian prisoners have started an important struggle. On April 7 a number of Palestinian prisoners went on hunger strike to demand the recognition of their right as political prisoners.
“Just few days before the Palestinian prisoners stared their protest; Irish republican prisoners started a protest against the inhumane conditions in Maghaberry jail. As the Palestinian prisoners Irish republican prisoners of war demand political status.
“Irish Republicans in British jails and Palestinians in Israeli jails are fighting the same struggle. They fight against criminalisation of their anti-imperialist struggle. The imperialist superpowers try to portray Irish Republicans and Palestinian prisoners as criminals. That’s an attempt to label the Irish and Palestinian liberation struggle as ‘terrorist’.
“Irish Republicans and Palestinian prisoners are no criminals, they are freedom fighters. The imperialist powers work together in their attempt to criminalise political prisoners and the liberation struggle of the people. Irish Republicans have to stand shoulder to shoulder with our comrades in Palestine to gain victory in our anti-imperialist and national liberation struggle.” Blumenfeld said.

Easter Statement from the Leadership of the Republican Movement |

On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the historic Easter Rising of 1916, the Leadership of the Republican Movement sends greetings to all who are gathered in commemoration at the graves of the Republican Dead of every generation and at monuments erected to their memory.
 In the past year it has been stated that policing will be transferred from Westminster to Stormont. However, political policing will continue and will remain guided from London. Under the St Andrews Agreement, amended by the Hillsborough Agreement, “security intelligence” in the Six Occupied Counties will be the responsibility of the MI5 Security Service with the RUC/PSNI in a support role.
The MI5 will not be accountable to the Stormont Policing Board for security-related matters but it will be available to brief the Board in secret on what it considers “appropriate”.
This is not the devolution of policing and justice powers. London will remain in control. For their part, the Republican youth has given the RUC/PSNI their response on the streets of many towns in the occupied area. We appreciate their actions.
In the 26 Counties, the flag of occupation – the Union Jack – is displayed with increasing frequency at festivals and on other public occasions. Similarly British military uniforms are flaunted in public, although the wearing of them was banned south of the Border for decades after 1922.
All of this is a build-up to a state visit by the Queen of England to the 26 Counties. The crowned head which claims sovereignty in Ireland has not visited for a full century. It is essential that such a visit be opposed. If it is not, then that is an acceptance of her “royal style and title” as “Queen of Northern Ireland” so-called. As Republicans we cannot, we must not, and we will not, tolerate such a situation without a meaningful protest.

Die Führung der Republikanischen Bewegung möchte am 94. Jahrestag des historischen Osteraufstands von 1916 an alle Grüße senden, die heute an den Gräbern und Monumenten der gefallenen Republikanerinnen und Republikaner aller Generationen gedenken.
Im vergangenen Jahr wurde festgelegt, dass die öffentliche Verwaltung von Westminster an Stormont übergehen soll. Trotzdem, die politische Verwaltung wird sich nicht ändern und weiterhin aus London geleitet werden. Im St. Andrew’s Abkommen, dass durch das Hillsborough Abkommen erweitert wurde, ist festgelegt worden, dass die „innere Sicherheit“ die Aufgabe des britischen MI5-Geheimdienstes sein wird, RUC/PSNI nimmt zugleich eine Hilfsrolle ein.
Der MI5 wird gegen über der Verwaltung in Stormont in sicherheitsrelevanten Fragen nicht rechenschaftspflichtig sein. Aber er wird die Versammlung in für ihn „relevanten“ Fragen, geheim beraten können.
Das ist keine Übertragung der Verwaltung und der Justiz. London wird die Kontrolle behalten. Ihrerseits hat die republikanische Jugend der RUC/PSNI ihre Antwort auf den Straßen unzähliger Städte im besetzten Gebiet gegeben. Wir wertschätzen ihre Taten.
In den 26 Grafschaften wird die Fahne der Besatzung, der Union Jack, immer häufiger auf Festivals und anderen öffentlichen Veranstaltungen gehisst. Gleichsam werden britische Militäruniformen öffentlich zur Schau gestellt, obwohl das Tragen dieser Uniformen südlich der Grenze für Jahrzehnet nach 1922 verboten war.

Greetings and solidarity from Republican Sinn Féin to the Revolutionary Youth Culture Festival. The Youth have always been in the vanguard of anti imperialistic revolutionary endeavours whether it be the Europe-wide effort of 1848 or the student uprisings of 1968 through to the actions of todays revolutionary youth. Whenever the jackboot of imperial oppression descends on the people it is always the youth that lead the fight back.
